Paulo Monteiro

(1967) A long-time director of the Portuguese International Comics Festival and a library in the town of Beja already started to create his first comics fanzines at the age of 14 (for example Abelharuco or Eclipse). He is also the father of the comics group Toupiera and the creator of the album of short stories from home fanzines El Amor Infinito Que Te Tengo Y Otras Historias (My Eternal Love for You and Other Stories) which has received several awards. The stories, poetic and cruel, about the impossibility of love were made between 2005 and 2010. The author who studied painting and scenography has already illustrated more than 30 books. He tends to combine cubist, expressionistic and surrealistic influences similarly to the Italian Lorenzo Mattotti.
