Dan Perjovschi

(1961) He was born in the totalitarian environment of the Romanian communist regime. After the decline of Ceaușescu´s dictatorship in 1989, he became a part of the first avant-garde wave in Romania. Through his drawings he comments on current political and social events. As an artist he has presented his work at tens of collective and individual exhibitions in Romania and in renowned international museums, for example in New York, Stockholm, Eindhoven, Cologne and Venice. In 2009, paying tribute to comics, he created more than two hundred drawings which decorate the concrete walls of the atrium in the interior of the Czech National Library of Technology in Prague 6 – Dejvice.
