Assel Tleuova

(1993 ) A young artist, who originally comes from Kazakhstan, is in the fourth year at the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art. After finishing the programme Media and didactic illustration, she went over to fashion design. In her work she connects her interest in comics, illustration, photography and fashion, which she perceives not only as art but also as a socio-psychological phenomenon. She gets inspiration from Japanese and Icelandic culture too. In her collection of coats, dresses, tops and skirts we can see the contrast between the plain minimalistic design of the collection and an intensive nearly decorative stylisation of a comics story about the strange creature called Furry Paws.
